Structural dynamics

Researches in structural dynamics are mainly related to the following aspects:

• Experimental modal analysis of aerospace structures and systems;
• Development of numerical methods for model updating based on optimization techniques;
• Development of methods for structural damage detection. In this field, approaches investigated are based on the use of modal parameters as well as Frequency Response Functions as damage indicators;
• Reduction techniques based on Principal Component Analysis for model updating and damage detection.
