Non-Keplerian Orbits

The area of the low energy transfers has been studied in our group, focusing the activity in particular on:

  • the computation of periodic orbits around the Lagrangian Points;
  • the design of interplanetary transfers via the "invariant manifolds" technique;
  • the design of Earth-Moon transfers combining low-thrust and low-energy;
  • the analysis of resonant motions in the restricted three-body problem and its applications;
  • the formulation of a new kind of ballistic escape for space applications.
