Pierangelo Masarati spent the period from April to August '98 at the Aeroelasticity Branch, Structural Division, of the Langley Research Center, NASA in Hampton, VA, as a Visiting Student, performing multibody analyses of the Wing and Rotor Aeroelastic Testing System (WRATS) wind tunnel test model. It is a 1/5 scale model of the V-22 BellBoeing tiltrotor aircraft. The results have been presented at the Seventh Conference on Nonlinear Vibrations, Stability, and Dynamics of Structures1 in Blacksburg, VA, July 26-30, 1998, and at the 55th Forum of the American Helicopter Society2 in Montreal, Canada, May 25-27, 1999. The papers are available in postscript format on this site and on the Langley Technical Report Server (also in pdf).
