University of Bristol 

The University of Bristol is one of the leading research universities in the UK. The Department of Aerospace Engineering has been established for over fifty years and is a leading provider of aerospace research and teaching in the UK. It has 30 academic staff members, over 350 undergraduate students and about 110 research students / assistants. The Department has excellent links with local, national and international industry including Airbus, BAe Systems, Westland Helicopters, Dowty and Rolls-Royce; who all have a significant research and development presence in the Bristol region, the UK and Europe. The aerodynamics group has been established within the department for nineteen years and carries out research into computational methods for aerodynamics, including work on aeroelastic stability, gust load alleviation and morphing aeroelastic structures. The group currently comprises 6 academic staff, 3 postdoctoral researchers and 9 postgraduate students.
