Technion - Israel Institute of Technology

Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, founded in 1924 in Haifa, is Israel's largest technical university. At present there are about 9,000 undergraduate students, 2,500 Graduate and 1500 Doctoral Students in 19 Faculties. Technion has about 650 faculty members, 23 Research Centres and 6 Research Institutes. In addition to this the Technion maintains 58 affiliated spin-off & Start-up companies. Technion's Distinguished Professors Avram Hershko and Aaron Ceichanover received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2004. Distinguished Professor Dan Shechtman received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2011. Technion will participate through the Aeroelasticity Group in the Aerospace Engineering Faculty, which is the only one in Israel dedicated to aerospace studies.
