IBK was founded in 1985 as engineering office in Nuremberg and has progressed to the current company IBK Innovation GmbH & Co. KG, which offers services on two sites (Nuremberg and Hamburg) in Germany.
IBK's team of engineers and technicians comprises 20 persons specialised in the fields of aerodynamics, structural mechanics, loads & aero-elastics and fully non-linear fluid structure interactions (FSI). Offered services are oriented to R&TD and to the elaboration of technical expert's reports and in the field of CFD, CSM, FSI, experimental investigations and software development. Nearly 85% of IBK's activities are devoted to the aeronautical industry. IBK supports Airbus Germany and supported Dornier and Diehl for many years in the field of aero-elastics and loads, including development of methods and tools for aero-elastics & loads. Also in the field of aerodynamics and CFD IBK supported Airbus Germany and Diehl.
For more than 20 years cooperation on a European level has been daily business by IBK's participation in common R&TD projects partially funded by the European Commission.
